1. What HelloSplit is

HelloSplit is a lightweight travel question portal for Split, Dalmatia and nearby travel decisions. You submit one focused travel question, receive a private request code, and return later to read the answer connected to that code.

2. Information we collect

We collect the information needed to handle your request:

• the travel question and any trip details you choose to include;
• the private request code connected to the question;
• request status, timestamps, answer content and optional feedback;
• basic technical information needed for security, abuse prevention, diagnostics and rate limiting, such as hashed visitor, IP and browser-related identifiers.

The basic request flow does not require an account, public profile, name or email address. If you include personal information inside the question text, that information becomes part of the request.

3. How we use the information

We use request information to prepare and deliver your answer, reopen the answer through your private code, prevent spam or abuse, maintain the website, troubleshoot errors and respond to deletion or support requests.

4. AI-assisted research and human review

HelloSplit may use AI-assisted tools to research, compare and draft travel information. A person may review or edit the final answer before it is returned to you.

Do not submit sensitive personal information, passport details, payment card data, medical information or anything you would not want processed as part of a travel support request.

5. Private request code

Your request is opened with a private code. Anyone who has the code may be able to access the question and answer, so keep it private. HelloSplit does not provide an account login layer for the basic request flow.

6. Cookies and local browser storage

HelloSplit uses only functional browser storage needed for the service. For example, the portal may store a visitor identifier and recent private codes in your browser so the interface can reopen your requests and reduce repeated code entry.

Admin sessions may use essential session cookies. These are used only for login and security.

7. Analytics and tracking

We do not use Cloudflare Web Analytics, advertising cookies, marketing pixels or cross-site tracking. We do not sell visitor data.

The hosting environment may create standard technical server logs for security, diagnostics and operation of the website.

8. Service providers

We may use hosting, security, database, email or AI/research service providers to operate HelloSplit. These providers process information only as needed to provide the service, protect the system or help us answer your request.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep requests for as long as needed to provide the answer, maintain the service, resolve issues and protect against abuse. Old requests may be deleted or anonymised.

If you want a request deleted, contact us and include the private request code so we can identify the relevant request.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact HelloSplit and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant request.
